From my childhood I have always had a love of fish, as do my children now. When I spent each summer with my extended family in Belgium we learned the joy of different local fish to that of my home in Scotland. From the dried salt fish hanging in the street markets of Brugge, the mussels, chips and mayonnaise from the vans in Oostende, to peeling brown shrimps in the garden after a long day on the beach. It helped me develop a passion and awareness of the cultural differences and availability of fish. We love our fishermen….
